Sale of local products of about RM110,000 is targeted at the ongoing One District One Industry (SDSI)East Zone showcase, taking place at the Terengganu Trade Centre here.
Terengganu Entrepreneurship, Rural Development, Consumerism and Cooperatives Committee Chairman Roslee Daud said the SDSI showcase which featured 91 local entrepreneurs, can help increase sale of local products and widen the market reach for them including global markets.
“However, I want the organisers to look at how the SDSI showcase can be improved with changes made either in its format or organising concept to produce high-income entrepreneurs,” he said at the SDSI and Youth Business Carnival which ends tomorrow.
Roslee said innovation and creativity must be added so that future SDSI showcases would attract more visitors and record higher sales.
As a comparison, the East Zone Mini Village Entrepreneur Carnival, held recently at the Terengganu Rural Transformation Centre, recorded sales exceeding RM500,000 and 52,700 visitors.
