More than 10,000 motorsport enthusiasts are expected to throng Dataran Batu Burok here in conjunction with the two-day Malaysian Motorcycle Time Attack (MOTACK) 2014 carnival that starts on Friday.
The carnival, held for the first time in the state through the Tourism Terengganu’s initiative received cooperation from world renown motor sport magazine ‘Cycle World Malaysia’.
Terengganu Tourism promotion manager Ahmad Fathil Abd Ghani said the carnival, regarded as Malaysia’s Biggest Gymkhana Carnival, featuring local and foreign riders, would start from 8am to 11pm.
“What is unique about MOTACK is that the carnival will feature all types of motorcycles, small, big, normal or high powered. Thus far we have received participation from 150 riders, including from Japan, FIM Asia and Thailand,” he told Reporters on Tuesday.
Among events featured at the carnival are stunt activities, Trial Bike, Pocket Bike, motorcycle test drive and carnival sale.
“There are five circuits in the MOTACK and Terengganu will be hosting the third circuit after Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The next one will be hosted by Johor before the event returns to Kuala Lumpur for the finale,” he said.
