Terengganu are expected to rope in four South Korean players to beef up its squad for the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) which starts next month.
Terengganu Hockey Association (PHT) President Datuk Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Abdul Hamid said the four players would comprise defenders and midfield players.
“We are engaging the services of the South Korean players to try and win the title,” he told Reporters here today.
Wan Ahmad Nizam said apart from the four South Koreans, the Terengganu squad would also be strengthened by the presence of five National players and a few ex-internationals.
He said PHT officials were in Incheon during the Asian Games to sign the four players.
Terengganu, coached by former international and former National coach Sarjit Singh, will open their campaign in the Malaysian Hockey League on Oct 31.
Meanwhile, players from the Terengganu Razak Cup squad who emerged victorious in the 2014 Razak Cup competition, received incentives from Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, here today.
